Take the flight to the Ho Chi Minh, spend the night aboard as you cross the International Date Line.
Upon arrival Ho Chi Minh in the late evening, you are met and transferred to your hotel for the well-deserved rest and relaxation.
Embark on a full-day sightseeing tour, beginning with a visit the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum & History Museum. Continue to the Notre Dame Cathedral built between 1877 and 1883. Also visit Ben Thanh Market which is the central market of Saigon. In the afternoon, excursion Cu Chi Tunnels, never discovered by American forces, the Cu Chi Tunnels were an important Vietcong base during the American War. (BLD)
Take the flight to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. You’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple & Rising Sun Bridge. Stroll past the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace (outside only), stroll through the park to Ho Chi Minh Stilt House. Visit the miniature One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, a lovely park setting which is home to Ho Chi Minh's final resting place. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature and the famous Old Quarter, a shopping venue since the 15th century and enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show performance. (BLD)
Board our coach to the mysterious Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to cruise where a welcome cocktail and check-in procedure. Past jagged limestone islands and nature-hewn karst formations. More than three thousand incredible islands rise from the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, creating a breathtaking landscape evocative of traditional Vietnamese paintings. Visit the fishing village by local rowing boat then return to the vessel for free time. (BLD)
Early birds can attend a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck at the break of dawn. Continue exploring Halong Bay sailing across its 2000 islets and visiting some of its major highlights. After disembark, drive back to Hanoi and take the afternoon flight to Cambodia, Siem Reap. (BLD)
Today we encounter the Cambodia’s crown jewel, the magnificent Angkor Wat. The most breathtaking and best-preserved of the Khmer temples, the temple complex is the world’s largest religious monument. Continue on to the fortified city of Angkor Thom and discover the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper Kings, the ruined Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure, and Phimeanakas before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. Continue to visit Ta Prohm, the most romantic of the temples of Angkor. Tonight, enjoy a special traditional Apsara Dance Dinner Show. (BLD)
Embark on a tour of Banteay Srei Temple, is considered to be the jewel of classical Khmer art and Pre Rup Temple. Continue to visit Kabal Spean, also known as the River of 1000 Lingas, art in the forest. There are carvings in the riverbed. It should be more spectacular but many of the carvings have been looted. (BLD) Remarks: Requires a moderately easy 45-minute uphill walk through the woods.
Take the morning flight to to Chiang Mai, the “Rose of the North”. After some freshen-up, it’s time to get to know Chiang Mai. Leave for Wat Pra That Doi Suthep, one of the north’s most sacred temples. Located near the summit of Doi Suthep Mountain, the temple affords some of the finest views of Chiang Mai below. (BD) Remarks: Today, we will not provide lunch. Please prepare some snack or purchase the food in Bangkok airport when we connect the flight.
Morning we head into Chiang Mai’s tropical jungles to visit an Elephant Camp. Continue to venture out into the surrounding jungles to visit the Hill Tribes of northern Thailand including Long Neck Karen and Big Earrings Tribes, who have lived in the region since ancient times. Process to visit a famous Thai Handicraft Village. Tonight, enjoy a Khantoke Dinner Show with the Chiang Mai’s traditions Lantern Release. (BLD)
Take the morning flight to Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city. Upon arrival, proceed to do Canal tour, is “must do” for see the traditional Thai ways of living and get a special feeling of Bangkok. After lunch, visit the opulent Grand Palace, Walk through lavish buildings and courtyards to the Coronation Hall, and end the day with a stop at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Tonight, enjoy the Siam Niramit – Thailand’s must-see show, one of the largest stage productions in the world. (BLD) CHIANG MAI / BANGKOK PG216 10:00AM 11:20AM
Cruise along the Bangkok canals in a narrow, long-tailed motorized boat towards the Damnoen Saduak floating market, where you will see local vendors in their Thai style canoes, through the canals looking to sell their goods. After lunch, visit the Tiger Temple, is once in a life time experience. If you think seeing a tiger at a close range is excitement, then imagine how you would feel when you actually get a chance to touch one. This place was an awesome experience that was tons of fun! Enjoy the day at your leisure. When it’s time, you will be transferred to airport and take the evening flight back to USA. (B)
