RESERVATION

1. Deposit:A non-refundable deposit of US$300 per person is required at the time of confirmation of the reservation.  Reservation will automatically be cancelled if the deposit is not received by China Silk Tours (CST) within 7 days after confirmation of the reservation.

2. Final Payments:Final payment of the balance tour fare is due 60 days prior to your departure date.  If your payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited.

Important: In order to properly complete and process your reservation, the following items are required in this office in addition to your reservation and deposit.

1. Photocopy of your valid passport (picture/name page)
2. Completed Tour Reservation Form  

The  payment of the required deposit of any partial or full payment for reservation of a trip shall constitute consent to all terms and conditions mentioned by CST.  CST reserves the right to cancel bookings not paid in full by the due date. During peak travel periods, it may be necessary to request your final payment more than 60 days prior de departure date, or modify your tour arrangements to accommodate unforeseen circumstances due to the high demand for air and hotel space.  You will be notified immediately should this situation arise.

CANCELLATION FEES

Written notice of cancellation must be received by CST either by mail or fax.  Oral cancellation by phone will not be acceptable.

60 days or more prior departure – US$300.00 per person*

59-30 days prior to departure – US$400.00 per person*

29-16 days prior to departure – US$500.00 per person*

15-7 days prior to departure – US$1000.00 per person*

Within 7 days of departure – 100% forfeiture of the tour price per person

*In addition to the above stated cancellation charges, plus any charges assessed by land suppliers, cruise companies and airlines.

TOUR FARE INCLUDES:

1. Air Transportation:A round trip international economy class airfare mentioned in the itinerary will be included.  Fuel surcharges are included and are at risk to change throughout the year at the discretion of the airlines.

2. Airport Transfers:Transfers are only available for purchase at brochure start and end cities on all tours year-round.  Additionally, tour member must travel on the exact tour arrival and departure dates as shown in the brochure.  Transfers can be provided only Hotel transfers are unavailable if there are any deviations of the tour by CST and in additional cost.  Confirmation of transfer arrangement appears on your travel documents.

3. Hotel Accommodations:Based on two adults sharing one twin bedded room, double occupancy.  A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single supplement rate.  A single room is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost.  When the hotel listed in the brochure is not available, the same category hotel will be substituted.

4. Meals:Meals will be provided in hotels, local restaurants or on board domestic or international flights as specified in the itinerary.

5. Sightseeing:While the sightseeing program is specified in the itinerary, its final arrangements will be determined by the local tour escort bases on local circumstances which are beyond the control of CST, such as weather, acts of God, dangers, incidents to the sea, fire, break down in machinery or equipment.  Acts of government or authorities and wars under local condition.  However, we will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.

6. Admissions / Entrance Fee:All necessary main entrance fees for the programs or places mentioned in the itinerary will be included.

7. Porter Service:The porter service included in some hotels is limited to one piece per person.  All extra suitcase or luggage will be charged.

TOUR FARE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

1. Express document delivery fee of $20.00 per address for 1-2 travelers and $25.00 per address for 3-5 travelers.

2. Government-imposed taxes and fees, of up to $120, including the Sept. 11^thsecurity fee, apply and are additional.  These may change without notice.

3. Cost of passport and visas; and all items of a personal nature.

4. The customary end-of-tour gratuity to tour managers and tips to local guides and drivers are not included.  Tips to restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids and porters are not included.

5. Any other charges levied by local state, federal or national government agencies, meals note mentioned in the itinerary, insurance premiums, charges arising from deviation, any personal charges such as excess baggage charges, phone bills, postage, laundry, drinks, etc.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. Unused Tour Features:Any unused tour features either on air transportation or for land arrangements are not refundable or exchangeable.

2. Tour Prices:All tour prices are in US dollars and are based on tariffs and rates of currency exchange in effect at the time of printing (August 30, 2013).  These rates are subject to change as deemed necessary and fair by CST.  When the total number of tour members should fall below ten persons, CST reserves the right to cancel the tour.

3. Price Guarantee:Your tour price is guaranteed once CST has received your full payment.  Only currency surcharges, flight schedule changes which require additional nights and cost to be added to the package will result in an assessment to each passenger.

4. Baggage:Baggage is at owners’ risk throughout and baggage insurance is recommended.  For up to date baggage allowance restrictions, always check with the appropriate airline for the latest regulations prior to departure.  Baggage allowance varies by airline and is subject to change at any time.  Baggage allowances in China are restricted to one piece only and not exceed 44lbs.  Carry-on baggage is limited to one piece with combined total dimension not exceeding 45 inches.  Excess baggage charge and insurance is at the owners’ responsibility.

5. 5. Passport:All customers, passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the return date of your trip.  Please consult with CST if you have a non-US passport.

There is a fee for obtaining an individual China visa and this visa fee is non-refundable for any reason.  CST is not responsible when you are denied entrance for any reason at a foreign country, even if you have a valid passport and visa.  If you are applying for your own China visa, a copy of your passport should be sent to CST.  All document / tickets will be issued under your passport name.  China visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, and good for a stay up to 30 days in China.

RESPONSIBILITY

CST acts as tour operator and agent.  The suppliers providing transportation, conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of CST.  All tickets, coupons and receipts issued by CST and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodations are made by CST as agent of the suppliers.  By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither CST nor any subsidiary or affiliate of CST shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other service resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyoud the control of CST, including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment.

Nor shall CST be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delay, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other causes.  By utilizing CST to arrange your tour you agree that CST is not responsible for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting, directly or indirectly, from delays, cancellations or charges in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers, or other services caused by the acts of any  Government, its local subdivisions, bureaus and/or authorities.  All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services of the various countries.  CST reserves the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour.  CST reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time.

The airlines concerned are not responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance.  The passengers’ contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger.  Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers.

The General Conditions under which you agree to utilize the services of CST in arranging the tours in the brochure may not be amended in any way except in writing signed by an authorized officer of CST.  By utilizing the services of CST, you agree the exclusive venue for all claims, actions of proceedings against CST of whatsoever nature arising out of this contract shall be the State of New York and such claim, actions or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws and jurisdiction of the State of New York.
