Our Scandinavia Journey begins with an overnight flight to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
Upon arrival, welcome by our English speaking guide and transfer to hotel. Enjoy the lunch at hotel before check-in hotel. In the afternoon, join the Grand boat tour, see the city from the sea. Take a private boat guided tour around the harbor and through the idyllic canals where our guide will tell you about Copenhagen’s beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses, new buildings and all other sights of interest. Uncover the mysteries behind the fairy tale castles of Copenhagen of North Zealand, a beautiful region just outside the Danish capital. Visit 17th-century Frederiksborg Palace. In the afternoon, explorative walking tour of Denmark’s capital. Listen as your guide shares intimate knowledge of the city and visit City Hall Square, Christiansborg Palace, the Old Stock Exchange before enjoying the brightly colored houses of Nyhavn, a quaint canal side district, then pose for photos beside the Little Mermaid, the fairytale inspired statue that boasts the title of Denmark’s most photographed monument. Departing Copenhagen, takes you along the Yellow Roads from Demark into Sweden, past idyllic meadows, forests and lakes. After lunch, embark on a journey from Flåm on the Norwegian Railway System to Myrdal, for the spectacular descent to Flam aboard the Flam Railway. A masterpiece of Norwegian engineering, the Flamsbana is one of the world’s steepest railway lines on normal gauge; you'll descend some 2,600 feet through the mountains, past waterfalls, rivers, ravines and sheer cliffs – it's quite a memorable journey! After lunch, take in the Vigeland Sculpture Park, with its 212 life-sized granite and bronze sculptures by famed Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland.
