Chengdu is the best gateway city to Tibet. Discover the mysterious Tibet, enjoy the leisure life pace and see cute pandas in Chengdu. Amazing culture and original customs are all included in this 11-days trip.

Your flight lands at Chengdu. You are transferred to the hotel for well-deserved rest and relaxation.
Morning program begins with Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Center, beautifully landscaped with lush plants and lakes. Meet with 20 some pandas and their caregivers. Also visit the Small Red Panda Center with 40 small pandas in residence who roam freely. After lunch, visit People's Park with its Bonsai Garden. Then head to Kuan Zhai Alley, is one of the top three historic preserve districts in Chengdu City. Tonight, enjoy a Sichuan Hot Pot Dinner followed by a Sichuan Opera Performance. (B,L,D)
Morning drive to Dujiangyan Panda Park with Panda Volunteer Work--clean the residual bamboo, wash panda's house and feed the giant pandas, etc. After lunch, visit the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System which is the great technological achievement of ancient China. Walk along the Jiezi Ancient Town which includes temples and a great number of other historical sites. (B,L)
Today, take a morning flight to Lijiang. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to check-in your hotel. After lunch, visit the Dayan Ancient Town with long history and profound Naxi culture. Ubiquitous mini bridge is the biggest feature there. (B,L)
Enjoy the spectacle of Impression Lijiang - Snow Mountain, an outdoor audio-visual extravaganza directed by the internationally acclaimed Zhang Yimou who directed the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremonies. Over 500 local people perform rituals, dances and folk songs for visitors daily. After lunch, visit the local villages of Baisha Village and Dongba Culture Village. You'll learn about the local Naxi people and their culture including a visit to the home of a local Naxi family and the former residence of Dr. Rock, a 20th century Austrian-American explorer-botanist and author of two English language histories of the Naxi people. Drive to Shangri-La. En route, explore the Tiger Leaping Gorge which is a scenic canyon on the Jinsha River, a primary tributary of the upper Yangtze Rover. It is one of the deepest and most spectacular river canyons in the world. (B,L)
Today, explore the Songzanlin Monastery which is the largest Tibetan Buddhism monastery in Yunnan. Covering an area of 30 hectares, it looks like a mini Kumbum Monastery. Later, take a Tibetan family visit and you'll learn about a local family's history and way of life. After lunch, visit the Pudacuo National Park, Bitahai Lake and Shuduhu Lake. (B,L)
After breakfast, take your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, meet and check-in your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure and adapt to the high altitude. (B)
Morning explore the world wonder and pilgrimage site, The Potala Palace. This amazing palace has the honor of being the highest ancient palace in the world. Visit the Jokhang Temple, watch religious pilgrims prostrating themselves at the front gate. Join local people's kora (circle for religion) and stroll around Barkhor Street where you may shop for Tibetan items. (B,L)
Morning visit the Norbulingka Palace, which has plenty of plants and is full of oxygen. Explore the Drepung Monastery where used to be the living quarters of the Dalai Lamas. After lunch, visit the Sera Monastery. Watch the monks' debate and enjoy their special "dance". Debate is a way for the monks to learn sutras and scriptures. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Tibetan Dinner & Cultural Show. (B,L,D)
